Christian Rado Drives to Winner's Circle in Second Race of Season and Runs Personal Best Time

TORRANCE, Calif., Aug. 8, 2006 — Christian Rado drove the World Racing Pro Outlaw FWD tC to the winner's circle this past weekend at the Number One Parts, Incorporated (NOPI) Drag Racing Association (NDRA) series at New England Dragway in Epping, New Hampshire.

In the first round of qualifying runs, Rado ran an e.t. of 8.285 seconds at 174.75 mph. He secured himself a spot in the finals with a second qualifying pass of 8.278 seconds at 171.88 mph for both the second round of qualifying.

Rado received a bye run in the finals when Jason Hunt's car succumbed to mechanical issues and was unable to come to the line.

This was the first win for Rado this year and the second race of the season for the World Racing tC. Rado's tC debuted at the end of July at Atco Raceway in New Jersey.

Rado and fellow Scion Racing drivers Leslie Durst-Armendariz, Brad Personett and Kenny Tran will be racing next for the National Hot Rod Association (NHRA) Sport Compact race at Moroso Motorsports Park in West Palm Beach, Florida, August 19 and 20.
